A fast and furious summer this year. The money all got transferred and the notaire got all the paperwork ready - and assured herself that we did not steal the money. Then on to sleeping on matresses on the floor in the new house. We had power and water - what else do you need. Well - hot water is a real nice thing to have. We actually had to go and stay in the Moxy in Amiens in the middle of this trip just to take a hot shower. Learned all about the houses issues, bought a refrig, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. Hooked them all up and the house main breaker tripped. Use anything and it tripped. As we found out later, EDF had neglected to activate our electricity contract and we were on squatter power. As soon as they enabled it - we had plenty of power for everything. Had the Fiber connection installed - yes here we have fiber to the house - it is right behind me as I type. Still no hot water, but we had to get back to meet the movers and get our HHG shipped to France. Oh yes, we were called to pick up our visas in Frankfurt. So we stayed in another Moxy in Frankfurt on the way back. When we arrived, Kathy visa was perfect, alas mine had the incorrect visa type. So I had to sweat out another 120 minutes while they cancelled my visa and issued a new one - yes I had to apply twice.
