Again we packed up the trusty Jetta and booked 10 days in a Gite near Magnicourt France. Armed with more knowledge of the area and the French market, we viewed many more properties this time. As we were not very happy with what we were seeing up near Bethune, we visited a small town south Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise. The real estate agent was somewhat kidding when he opened the door for us - he said welcome to your new home. Kathy loved it from the first entry through the front door. That was really it. It is the best property for us. Small house, garden, garage and workshop, basement and attic all a short walk from downtown and the train station. We put in an offer and it was accepted. You see a few pics here - we will do a more in depth look later this year on the site. Also you will see some of the other places we visited during this ten day visit.
