So we packed up the trusty Jetta and booked 10 days in a Gite near Bethune France. We faced the daunting task of navigating the French Real Estate process - just getting someone to show you property took a great deal of work. And getting an efficient schedule proved impossible. So you will see a few pictures of gardens and chateaus in the area. We found a townhouse that would have worked for us - there are a couple pics in the set here. But luckily for us, our offer on the property was not accepted. In the end we found and much more acceptable property on the next trip - see later.
